Will joined Lancaster Engineering in August 2012. Will’s work includes writing traffic impact studies that analyze the safety and operation of the transportation network near to a project, developing temporary traffic control plans, and conducting traffic signal design. Will holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering at Portland State University where he has researched adaptive traffic signals and their performance along heavily traveled corridors in the Portland area, as well as the effects of the Advance Stop Box (bike box) on bicycle-vehicle conflicts at intersections. Specifically, Will has examined the operation of the intersection of NE Couch Street at NE Grand Avenue before installation of a bike box, after installation of the bike box, and after installation of the advanced bicycle warning sign.
